With nearly a decade of hands-on experience in birth and postpartum work, Sarah Pearce (Previously Fogle) has become a trusted name in the St. Louis and Southern Illinois birth communities. As the founder and lead doula of Trinity Doula Services (TDS), she brings a unique blend of clinical knowledge, holistic care, and business acumen to every consultation, mentorship session, and training.
Sarah is more than a seasoned doula. She is a previously a pediatric LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse), which gives her a strong foundation in infant development, safety, and early medical concerns. Her calm, clinical confidence is especially valuable for new parents navigating the early days of newborn care.
As a certified newborn care specialist, Sarah supports families in developing routines, recognizing normal vs. abnormal newborn behavior, and fostering healthy sleep and feeding habits. She applies both science and intuition to every home she enters.
As a placenta encapsulation specialist, she uses safe, evidence-informed techniques rooted in traditional Chinese medicine to help postpartum recovery through hormone balancing and nutritional replenishment.
As a current CPM (Certified Professional Midwife) student, Sarah continues to deepen her knowledge of birth physiology, complications, and community-centered midwifery. This evolving education helps her guide doulas with up-to-date practices and a grounded, clinical perspective.
She’s also the director of The Little Resource Center—a nonprofit providing diapers, formula, and essential postpartum support to underserved families across Missouri and Illinois. This work gives her firsthand understanding of community outreach, nonprofit operations, and the intersection of social support with private practice.
Through her leadership, TDS has grown into one of the largest and busiest doula collectives in the region, with a team of trained doulas offering birth, postpartum, and placenta services. Sarah’s clients and mentees know her as the “baby whisperer,” especially for her calm command of overnight postpartum care, and her deep empathy for high-energy families adjusting to newborn life—including those with large, lovable dogs.
Sarah also brings the wisdom of personal experience, having had four very different births herself—including an induction, a cesarean for breech, and two VBACs, one of which was unmedicated. She understands firsthand the emotional and physical journey families go through. Her leadership extended into advocacy as well, having served as an ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network) chapter leader.
Now, Sarah is opening her calendar to offer one-on-one doula consulting and mentorship to:
New or aspiring doulas seeking guidance on how to start
Birth workers looking to grow their brand, build an agency model, or scale their services
Postpartum professionals needing structure, support, or business systems
